Lars and Eva were saved from death

Only a miracle could save Lars Myrberg’s life. Everything was chaos. He weighed only 54 kilos, his liver and kidneys were completely depleted and his psyche unstable. He had also just beaten his girlfriend Eva due to jealousy.
– I could not control my life. Demons were slaughtering me and I did not know what I was doing, says Lars.

Completely confused,

Lars sat down on the floor in the drug quarter. Eva sat some distance away, beaten and full of fear.
– Every now and then I left my body. My spirit and my consciousness were sucked out of my body, and from above the ceiling I could see myself sitting on the floor. It was a moment of truth.
Lars realized how scarred he was and how little life was left in him. He was probably just a moment from the dead. The drug had taken its toll.
Eva and Lars had met when Lars had been on leave from Ulleråker’s mental hospital. Although he was drugged, long-haired and sore around the mouth, she saw something in him. The two wounded debris appeared to each other and together they sold drugs.
– We supplied the whole of Uppsala with drugs, Lars Myrberg tells Inblick.
– We went to youth centers and took drugs. We really want to say sorry to everyone we tricked into taking drugs. I was blinded and a big egoist, it was all just about me, says Eva Myrberg.

Emptiness and darkness

Eva had had a good upbringing. She lived in Hälsingland and went to Sunday school until she was 12 years old. But when she moved to Uppsala and started working as a health care assistant at the University Hospital, everything started to go wrong.
– I met a girl who smoked hashish and I went with her. Then it became heavier drugs, says Eva.
Eva felt a great emptiness and the drugs became an escape from a life that was not really a life.
– I did not care anymore. It was just darkness, she says.

Dangerous for everyone

Lars’ upbringing started well, but in his teens it turned downwards.
– Everything was fine and normal until I was 13 years old and my mother died, he says.
Three months earlier he had been baptized. As he stood in the baptismal font, a man uttered a greeting from God. He said that Lars was a chosen tool and would win thousands of people for God.
– He said I would travel to different countries. I was just terrified, says Lars.
That Lars’ mother died was a killing blow. The relationship with the father was difficult and Lars became bitter at God who let everything happen.
– I was shy and insecure, and when I was 14-15 years old I started drinking and made bad friends. I fled from God and from the calling, so I just drank more and more. I was dangerous, both to myself and to others.
There was a quarrel with the police and care in a mental hospital. At the same time, the body took beatings, liver and kidneys were destroyed.
– In the end, I was just a human wreck, says Lars.
When Lars several years later looked down on himself from the top of the roof, he saw for the first time how scarred he was and how little life was left in him. He shouted so loud that he thought the whole world should hear, but not even Eva heard. It was his heart that cried out in anxiety.
– I cried out to God for help and I saw how the tone was heard in the throne room.
Lars immediately experienced how he came back into his body on the floor.
– I saw a light and thought I had come to heaven, he says.
Once down on the floor, Lars felt a urge to look to the left. With great effort he succeeded in doing so.
– I saw a great black throne with a grotesque creature, a demon or a devil. There were lots of ropes around my chest and I saw that he could only pull on a rope and I would die.

Strong anxiety and struggle

Lars could barely breathe and felt an extremely strong anxiety and struggle. He now felt a urge to look to the right instead.
– Disgusting little apple-like demons, hung on me and they shouted “No, No!” so that it cuts into my ears.
Lars still managed to look up on his right side and then saw three crosses in front of him. In the middle was the cross with Jesus.
– I did not dare to look at Jesus. I was like one of the robbers, I had ruined people’s lives. I saw how dirty I was and how well I served the devil.
Lars thought that he had sabotaged all the chances Jesus had given him, but when he dared to look Jesus in the eye, he saw something else.
– From Jesus’ eyes, such warmth and love flowed straight into my heart.
Lars got to see something that took place in heaven before God created the earth. It was discussed how Lars, the worst man in Uppsala, could be saved.
– Then Jesus says “I do it. I go down and save him “. I understood that if only I was in the whole universe that needed to be saved, he would have died just for me.

Explosion of light

Lars experienced how he regained his strength and how everything he did to God and to people was spread out. There was nothing left in his account of guilt and sin.
– Jesus showed that my heart was clear. It flowed with love. I took my bloody arm and pointed to my left side and shouted, “Now satan, your time is up in my life. In the name of Jesus! ”
Lars experienced how he became completely free. He received Jesus. It was like an explosion of light in the room.
– All the demons flew out and I had not felt so light in many years.
While Lars was experiencing this, Eva sat in the same room, but unaware of what had happened.
– It was like war, a violent struggle. I did not dare to breathe. I had seen how Lars’ eyes were black with hatred, says Eva.
She thought Lars had gone crazy when he said that he had given his life to Jesus.
– I thought he was mentally ill and fussy, she says.

Crying for hours

Lars now wanted to put his hands on her and pray.
– I thought: rather his hands than a knife, says Eva.
Eve had really had a longing for God all her life.
– There was a seed that God worked with in my life. When we were doing drugs, I wanted to take Lars to the Pentecostal church, she says.
Lars laid his hands on Eva and prayed for her.
– When I put my hands on her, it was as if electricity went from her head down to her feet. I prayed for salvation for Eva, says Lars.
When Eva got up, all fear was gone.
– I saw the light that came out of Lars’ eyes and we looked in the mirror and hugged and cried for hours. It was like a baptism in God’s love, it was healing, says Eva.
The next day, they both went to a meeting that the Pentecostal church had, and gave their lives to Jesus publicly.
– The whole Pentecostal church cried and everything prayer aunts hugged us, says Lars.
Throughout the difficult time, Lars’ grandmother Elin had prayed for him.
– She prayed for an hour every night, for five years. Relatives thought she would quit, but she said “God must save him, I will not let go”.
When Lars would then tell Grandma Elin what had happened, she already knew. By the time he received Jesus, her prayer load had dropped.

Physical miracle

Two months later, Lars and Eva married.
– There were 75 drug addicts who came. Many came from Stockholm, they were on leave, says Eva.
– Many were also saved afterwards, says Lars who is careful to add that it is Jesus who should have the glory.
Three months later, Lars had doubled his weight. The doctor could not believe his eyes.
– He was an atheist, but said “Are you Lars? I can say so much that I do not believe there is a God, but no human has done this. ”
At the hospital, the physical miracle was confirmed. Lars’ journals state that his liver and kidney values are “without remark. Due to Lars Myrberg’s alleged experience, a miracle seems to have occurred. ”
Eve and Lars have worked with drug rehabilitation and God has done many miracles. Lars has also traveled to many Russian prisons where thousands have received Jesus. He has also met students in Swedish schools. Today, Eva and Lars long to see the same total conversions that they themselves experienced, here in Sweden.
– God has not forgotten Sweden. We are confident that ordinary Svensson, addicts and students will have their lives transformed by Jesus, say Eva and Lars Myrberg.
